Lucille Brown-Hayes was the top guard for the Wagner Women’s Basketball team((1951-1953) while serving as team captain as a senior in 1952-1953.
A driving force on the first women's basketball team to play in the Sutter Gymnasium, Brown-Hayes was also a star in track & field, winning the 100-yard dash, the hop, skip and jump, and was on the winning relay team that helped Wagner win the High Point Trophy. .
