Hall of Fame
Almost 60 years since graduating, Don Finley ((1951-1953) remains one of the greatest Wagner pitchers of all-time. Finley is in the top-three in almost all of Wagner's pitching records, including sharing the Wagner career wins record of 19. He holds this record along with fellow Hall of Famer Dr. Bill Willets, former Minnesota Twins farmhand Joe Testa, and 2009 NEC Pitcher of the Year, Matt Watson, and owned an unprecedented 1.91 career ERA.
Â
As a senior in 195,3 he served as a co-captain while collecting seven of Wagner’s 11 wins and posting a 1.03 ERA, which still to this day is the lowest in school history, en route to earning a spot on the All-Metropolitan Second Team.Â
