Cynthia Quinlan was a power forward on the Wagner women's basketball team from 1986-1990. Quinlan is arguably one of the better power forwards in Wagner history as she helped lead the team to a great deal of success, recording a 67-46 record including the 1989 Northeast Conference Championship. She is one of four players in school history to finish her career with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, totaling 1,323 points and 1,118 rebounds respectively. A multifaceted talent, she also ranks among the program leaders in several statistical categories, including blocks where she is second all time. Quinlan averaged a double-double for her career pouring in 13.5 points a contest and hauling down 11.4 rebounds a game. She was selected as the NEC Newcomer of the Year in 1986-1987, and earned All-Conference accolades in 1989-1990 (First Team), and 1987-1988 (2nd Team). Quinlan was also chosen as the Tournament MVP for the '89 Championship run. A proud parent of two children; Xavier and Alexandra, she is a special education teacher at Walt Whitman High School and resides in Greenlawn, New York.
