Buies Creek, NC – The Wagner College softball team suffered a 5-2 loss to Rider on the second day of the Camel Stampede Tournament, hosted by Campbell University.
The second game of the day between Wagner and Duke was cancelled due to weather.
The Seahawks took an early lead in the first inning on an RBI double by sophomore
Kate Wolf, which gave Wagner a 1-0 lead.
Next up, senior
Alexa Garcia came through with an RBI single to give Wagner its second run of the inning.
The Broncs scored three runs in the third and two runs in the second to earn the victory.
Wolf and Garcia led the Seahawks with two hits apiece, while freshman
Jordyn Dulken and senior
Mackenzie Vogler also had hits in the contest.

Natalie Rodriguez was charged with the loss in the circle, striking out three in six innings of work.

Emma Crosby made her collegiate debut in the circle, pitching one inning in relief.
Wagner will be back in action tomorrow, as the Seahawks and Broncs are scheduled to meet again at 10:00 am.
