STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Wagner baseball is set to take on four opponents in their fall slate ahead of the 2027 season, head coach Craig Noto has announced.
After opening practices on September 8, the Seahawks look to open outside competition on Saturday, Oct. 3 at NJIT. The Highlanders finished their 2026 at 16-31-1, going 6-18 in America East play. Wagner last faced the Highlanders in a weather-shortened series in April 2025 where NJIT won the opener 6-5 before the Seahawks took game two 7-2. Rain forced a cancellation of the rubber match.
On Friday, Oct. 9, the Seahawks head to Kean University. Wagner hosted the Cougars in fall 2025 prior to the 2026 season. In 2026, the Cougars finished 31-13-1 in 2026, going 12-6 in New Jersey Athletic Conference play.
The Seahawks hit the road from there but remain in New York City, heading into Manhattan to take on Columbia. The Lions will host Wagner on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Robertson Field.
Closing out their outside competition at Hofstra, the Seahawks take on the Pride Friday, Oct. 23. Hofstra finished its 2026 season at 22-29, going 14-16 in Coastal Athletic Conference play.
Times for each matchup have yet to be determined.
Noto and the Seahawks are coming off a 2026 season where Wagner finished third at the NEC Tournament, logging a 29-24 record and going 23-10 in NEC play.
Wagner's full 2027 schedule will be released at a later date.
