Staten Island, NY – Coming off victories over Dartmouth, VMI and Hampton, the Wagner men's lacrosse team will look for the program's first-ever four-game winning streak on Sunday when the 4-3 Seahawks host the 2-3 Mercer University Bears in a 12:00 p.m. faceoff at Hameline Field.
Wagner has four players who have hit for double figures in scoring through the season's first seven games. Junior attackman
Andrew Streilein (Mt. Laurel, NJ / Lenape), fresh off a two-goal, four-assist outing vs. Hampton, leads with 19 points (11g, 8 a). Freshman attackman
Nic Ancona (Warrenton, VA / Paul VI) close behind at 15 points (9g, 6a). Junior midfielder
Joe Lomeli (Clark, NJ / A.L. Johnson / NJIT) is next with 14 points (10g, 4a) while fifth-year senior midfielder
Paul DeVita (Westfield, NJ / Westfield) checks in with 11 points (9g, 2 a).

Anthony Labetti (Moorestown, NJ / Moorestown) and junior midfielder
Nick Warren (Granby, CT / Granby Memorial / Mount St. Mary's) split time at the faceoff X for Wagner. Labetti is 33-of-77 for a 41.6 winning percentage and Warren is 28-of-55 for a 50.9 percentage. Labetti also has 16 ground balls, which ranks third on the team.
Sophomore
Matt Sefcik (Towaco, NJ / Morristown Beard) has made 77 saves and allowed 60 goals for a .562 save percentage and 9.29 GAA.
Sunday's game marks the fourth all-time meeting between the schools and Mercer has won all three previous meetings, including two on Staten Island.
