Poughkeepsie, NY - The Wagner baseball team fell in the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader, 7-3, against the Marist Red Foxes. 
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 13-30 overall on the season while Marist evens its record to 21-21.
Junior SS 
Nick Mascelli (Clifton, NJ/Seton Hall Prep) and senior CF 
Trey Nicosia (State College, PA/State College Area) each went 2-for-4 with Mascelli scoring two runs and Nicosia recording two RBIs.  Sophomore LF 
Kyle Cala (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) drove in the other RBI for Wagner. Senior RHP 
Mike Adams (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Holy Spirit) took the loss (2-6) after pitching 5.1 innings, giving up nine hits, seven earned runs while walking three and striking out three.  Freshman RHP 
Douglas Molnar (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) threw 0.2 innings of scoreless relief with a strikeout.
John Brucker and Joey Aiola combined to go 5-for-6 in the second game with Brucker driving in five of the seven runs for the Red Foxes. Charlie Jerla threw six innings, giving up seven hits, two runs (one earned) while striking out six batters for the win (7-4). 
Marist struck for three runs in the bottom of the second in breaking the scoreless tie. Aiola sent an RBI double to left, and Brucker added a two-run single to left centerfield. 
In the bottom of the fourth, the Red Foxes tacked on three more runs to take a 6-0 lead as Brucker doubled down the left field line scoring two runners while Graham McIntire followed up with an RBI single scoring Brucker.
The Green & White rallied for two runs in the top of the fifth, cutting the deficit to 6-2. Back-to-back singles from sophomore 2B 
Kyle Brey (Middletown, NJ/Middletown South) and Mascelli, Nicosia reached on an error by the Marist shortstop which brought home Brey.  Following a single from senior RF 
Ben Ruta (West Windsor, NJ/West-Windsor Plainsboro South), Cala sent a deep, fly ball to center in which Mascelli tagged up from third and scored the Seahawks' second run of the contest.  
Marist extended its lead to 7-2 after Brucker delivered his fifth RBI of the game, sending a run-scoring single to center. In Wagner's half of the seventh, Mascelli tripled to right field and scored on an RBI grounder from Nicosia before Ruta was called out on strikes.
Wagner and Marist conclude its three-game series on Sunday, May 8 with a single, nine-inning contest. Senior LHP 
Matt Morris (Matawan, NJ/St. John Vianney) is scheduled to take the hill for Wagner, which will mark the 45th time he has started for the Seahawks, the most in program history.
