Farmingdale, NY – Freshman midfielder Colin O'Rourke (Worcester, MA/St. John's Shrewsbury) scored three goals but it was not enough as Siena raced past Wagner 17-7 in a game played at Ellsworth Park in Farmingdale, NY.
With the loss, the Seahawks fall to 0-9 on the season while Saints improve to 6-4 on the season.
The Saints took control of the game early, jumping out to a 6-1 lead at the end of the first quarter en route to the victory. Ryan Duggan, Chris Roth and Jordan Loftus scored four goals apiece to account for 12 of Siena's 17 goals.
For the Seahawks, junior attack
Will Macumber (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) added two goals.
Statistically, Siena held a 37-24 edge in shots, led in ground balls 27-20 while winning 17 of 27 faceoffs.
