th in the 75-man field.
"Anton did all of the right things to win this award, there was no one more deserving," said Seahawk head coach
Christopher Fourman. "He had the lowest scoring average in the conference, 3 tournament wins including the NEC Championship, and highest collegiate ranking of any golfer in the conference. This award is the finishing touch on the most prolific golf career our program has ever seen."
In earning Second-Team All-NEC honors for the second consecutive season, Moreno carded a 74.6 scoring average with three Top-10 finishes, highlighted by a career-best tie for second-place outing at the Navy Spring Invitational with scores of 71-72-143 (+1). The 2016 NEC Rookie of the Year also tied for third at the Hofstra Quad (71-71-142) tied for sixth at the Ryan T. Collegiate Memorial.
"We have had great kids in the program, but no one quite like Lucas," said Fourman. "He is our captain and also shows the leadership capabilities of a coach. I know he has his best golf ahead of him and we are confident that he will be a contender every time he tees it up. This honor is testament to the hard work he put in and the top finishes he had. I anticipate many more to come."
