Wagner Soccer Announces Incoming Class of 2020

Staten Island, NY – Wagner College head women's soccer coach, Mike Minielli, the 2014 Northeast Conference (NEC) Coach of the Year who will enter his 10th season on Grymes Hill ths fall, has announced the Seahawks' incoming freshman class of nine student-athletes.
 
The Class of 2020, each of whom will enroll as freshman in fall, 2016, represent four difference states with four hailing from New York, three from New Jersey and one each from Florida and Rhode Island.
 
The incoming class is comprised of four defenders, three forwards and two midfielders.
 
"I am very happy and excited about this incoming class," said Minielli. "The incoming Class of 2020 is made up of high achievers academically and fill immediate needs for us on the field as well. During each step of the recruiting process, I have been impressed with what each of these players will bring to Wagner and our soccer program. Our returners and coaching staff are looking forward to their arrival and to the 2016 season."

Autumn Clark – Forward/Defender
Ft. Lauderdale, FL/Pine Crest Prep/Team Boca
  • During 2015 season (senior campaign), led Pine Crest to win it's first District Finals since 2008 and scored the winning goal in OT
  • Tallied 45 goals and 18 assists in her high school carerr
  • Four-year letterwinner at Pine Crest Preparatory School
  • 3-time All-County Selection
  • In 2014, led team to the Elite 8 in State Cup for Team Boca Club Team

Christine Le'Tendre – Forward

  • Led Notre Dame Academy to win a Staten Island Championship, New York City Championship, and to the New York State Semi Finals
  • Recipient of Top Student in Spanish, Theology, Campus Minsitry and Physical Education awards
     
Ally DeRiggi – Defender

Maria Nunez – Forward/Midfielder
East Greenwich, RI/East Greenwich/Boston Breakers ECNL
  • East Greenwich All-State Team Selection
  • Four-year starters with the East Greenwich Avengers
  • In her senior season, she scored or assisted on 16 of the Avenger's 26 goals of the season
  • Scored both goals in a 2-1 victory in the preliminary-round of playoffs in her senior season
     
Daniela D'Acunto – Defender
Islip, NY/Islip/Albertson ECNL
  • All-Conference Player
  • Islip High School County and State Champions
  • Member of the Islip Science Olympiads - state finalists
     
 
The 2015 Seahawks finished with an overall record of 5-12-1 and a 4-4 mark in NEC play.
