Wounded Warrior Delivers Inspiring Message To Seahawk Football Team

Staten Island, NY - Rick Yarosh, a childhood friend and former high school teammate of Wagner head football coach Jason Houghtaling at Windsor Central High School in Windsor, NY, was burned over 60% of his body in an explosion in 2006 while serving in Iraq.

As a result of his injuries, Rick had his right leg amputated below the knee, lost both ears, lost part of his nose, lost multiple fingers, and most of the function in both hands.

Last week, Yarosh was a guest of Houghtaling and the Wagner Football team. After taking in a practice session, he shared his message of hope and inspiration to the entire Seahawk team and staff.

"I am no hero, but with my experience I can only hope to share what I've been through and make people understand that happiness is not far off."
