Staten Island, NY – On Saturday, September 20, CBS Sports presented, to a national television audience, the unique and lighthearted story of Seahawk Athletic Director/Head Football Coach Walt Hameline working with Monmouth University to move the date of this season's Wagner at Monmouth game to accommodate his daughter Kelly's wedding.

The story aired at 3:23 pm during the Network's National Pre-Game Show prior to its telecast of the matchup between No. 3 Alabama and Florida.

Hameline called Monmouth head coach Kevin Callahan, who is also a close friend, colleague, and former assistant coach of his, hoping for a solution. Thanks largely to Callahan's gracious help, the two institutions were able to successfully maneuver things on each other's end. Thus the Wagner-Monmouth game was shifted to September 13, freeing up September 20 to be a bye week for the Seahawks, allowing Hameline to attend his daughter's wedding without having to miss a game. In the game, Monmouth held on to defeat Wagner 21-16.

Two major media outlets, the Associated Press, and USA Today, picked up on the story last week.
