Staten Island, NY - Wagner College head football coach Walt Hameline has announced that 17 student-athletes have elected to continue their education while pursuing a football career and will join the 15 future Seahawks who were announced on signing day in February, boosting the 2012 class to 31 members.
 
Additional student-athletes will be announced at a later date as they become cleared for release through the athletic department's compliance office.
 
“We're excited to announce this new crop of young men who will meld with those that we signed back in February to form a recruiting class that my staff and I have a great deal of confidence in,” said Hameline. “There are some really fine athletes in this group, several will compete for early playing time and all of them will serve to bolster our talent and depth throughout the roster.”
