New York, NY – In their final tune up meet before the Northeast Conference Championships next weekend, Wagner's track and field squads saw three record setting performances today at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational held at the Armory in Manhattan.
Senior
John Garrish (Boca Raton, FL / Boca Raton) enters the upcoming NEC Championships ranked third in the conference in the weight throw event following his record setting toss of 15.93 meters. This marks the third time this indoor season that Garrish has beat the school record.
Both the men's and women's distance medley relay teams clinched their tickets to Boston as the women's ECAC qualifying time of 11:59.23 set a school record. The men's qualifying 10:06.85 time earned them a third place finish and automatic entry into the IC4A's.
Also on the women's side, the 4x400 meter relay team recorded a third place finish and etched their way into the record books with a time of 3:55.74.
Newcomer Wandy Saintillen (Miami, FL / Miami Senior) sprinted a stellar personal-best time of 7.15 in the 60 meter run.
Wagner is back in action February 11-12 at the NEC Championships held in Prince George, MD.
