FCSfootballnetwork.com Leads NEC Notebook With Wagner-Bryant Preview

Smithfield, RI - FCSFootballNetwork.com previews today's Wagner-Bryant tussle in its weekly "This Week in the NEC" feature.

An underlying story to today's Seahawk-Bulldog matchup will be the showcase of a pair of special talents at running back. Wagner sophomore Dominique Williams (Bridgetown, NJ/ Milford Academy) is ranked ninth in the nation at 122.0 yards per game. He is has rushed for 100 or more yards in six of the 11 games he has played as a Seahawk.

For Bryant, Jordan Brown broke free for 248 yards on 38 rush attempts to account for the fourth-highest single-game rushing total in the history of Northeast Conference at Sacred Heart on September 16. Overall, Brown totaled 334 all-purpose yards in a performance that ranks him second all-time at Bryant, as the Bulldogs cruised past the Pioneers 26-6In addition, he added a 53-yard punt return for a touchdown and 38 kickoff return yards.

Because Bryant is still transitiong to full FCS status, Brown is not listed in the official NCAA statistics. His 165.7 yards per game average would ranked fourth nationally.
