Walt Hameline has named four captains for the 2011 season in senior defensive back
Jeremiah Brown (Brooklyn, NY/ Grand Street Campus), junior quarterback
Nick Doscher (Staten Island, NY/ Moore Catholic), senior defensive end
Derrick Forrest (Fort Lauderdale, FL/ Calvery Christian Academy) and junior running back
Dominique Williams (Bridgton, NJ/ Milford Academy).
“These four young men are not only tremendous football players but they possess the character traits and values that we take pride in as a program,” said Hameline. “They are true leaders who have earned the respect of their teammates and each is very deserving of this honor.”
Brown has seen action in 31 games as a Seahawk and has accumulated 82 career tackles, including 39 unassisted stops. Last season, the 6-0, 205-pound Brown saw action in all 11 games with three starts and was credited with 26 tackles. He also came up with two pass breakups and one tackle for loss. Brown recorded a season-high six tackles in the season opener at Assumption (9/11) and had four stops apiece vs. Cornell (9/18) and Robert Morris (9/25). One of the stalwarts up front for the Seahawks, Forrest aw action in all 11 games in 2010 while gaining starts in nine of those contests. He registered 22 tackles on the season, including six solo stops. His best statistical game came at Central Connecticut St. (Oct. 30) when he made four tackles. He also had three-tackle efforts vs. Bryant (10/2), Saint Francis (PA) (10/16) and Duquesne (10/23). To view a video of Forrest commenting on being named captain click

One of the top returning signal-callers in the Northeast Conference, Doscher is equally dangerous as a runner as he is a passer. Following his freshman season in 2009 when he was named First-Team All-NEC, Doscher turned in another tremendous campaign last year, completing 149-of-297 passes for 2,074 yards and 18 touchdowns. His passing yardage ranked second in the NEC as did his 188.5 yards passing per game. The team's leading rusher as well with 672 yards, he accumulated 2,746 total offense (rushing, passing combined) and computes to 249.6 yards per game which ranked second in the NEC. He earned NEC Offensive Player of the Week vs. Bryant (10/2), amassing 323 yards of total offense while lifting the Seahawks to a win over the Bulldogs..To view a video of Doscher commenting on being named captain click

Like Doscher, Williams burst on to the scene in 2009 after being sidelined for the 2010 season with a knee injury sustained in training camp. He streaked his way for 642 yards and nine touchdowns on 113 attempts (average of 5.7 yards per carry). While earning three NEC Rookie of the Week honors, he rushed for two touchdowns at SUNY-Maritime (9/10), including a 63 yard, season-long scamper.
