Seahawks Host Fundraiser For Wounded Soldier

Staten Island, NY – The Wagner women's soccer team will be hosting a fundraising event for Staten Island native Brendan Marrocco, who is a quadruple amputee from his service time spent in Iraq. The event will take place at the Seahawks game on Sunday, October 3, when the team faces Central Connecticut State at Wagner Stadium.

Marrocco is building a house on Staten Island. The necessities of this project however, come at a great expense. Being a quadruple amputee, Marrocco's home will need to be easily accessible and manageable for the 22-year old to be able to live on his own.

Building Homes for Heroes and The Stephen Siller Children's Foundation have joined forces to build a home for Specialist Marrocco. And the Seahawks are looking to do their part for this courageous solider.

Donations will be accepted at the game, as well as raffles and other opportunities for rewards. Brendan's father will be attending the game, and the Seahawks will be having a special presentation prior to kickoff to honor and support for Marrocco's his sacrifices while fighting for our country.

The game against Central Connecticut State will start at 1:00 at Wagner Stadium.
