Holly Springs, NC - Rising senior Seth Boyd (Perth Amboy, NJ / Perth Amboy) has been selected for the 12th annual Coastal Plains League All-Star game to be played on Tuesday, July 20. The game will be played at McNair Stadium in Forest City, NC with first pitch slated for 7:05 pm.

Boyd, a two-time All-Northeast Conference (NEC) selection at second base, plays for Gastonia and has helped the Grizzlies to a 23-15 record. He leads the team in batting (.333), hits (41), runs (25), doubles (6), walks (18) and on-base percentage (.424) while ranking second with 16 RBI and a .407 slugging percentage.

The Coastal Plains League is a college sanctioned wood-bat summer league.

Last year for Wagner, Boyd battled injuries to bat .321 (59-184) with nine doubles, two triples, four home runs, 30 RBI and 15 stolen bases.. During NEC-play, his average hovered around .400 all season before ending up at .378.
