Frantz Placide (Miami, FFL/Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) has been named a Consensus Draft Services Preseason Second-Team All-American Return Specialist.
A First-Team All-Northeast Conference Return Specialist in 2009, Placide had a pair of 89-yard kickoff returns for touchdowns on the season, vs. Stonehill (9/5) in the season opener and against Albany (11/21) in the season finale.
For the season, the 6-2, 205-pound Placide was named NEC Special Teams Player of the Week three times. Also a standout defensive back, he saw action in all 11 games, making starts in seven and ranked ninth on the team with 40 tackles, including 24 solo stops. He led the NEC in blocked kicks with six and led the team in pass breakups with seven.
