Staten Island, NY - Former Wagner  hurler and 2009 Washington Nationals draft pick Kyle Morrison will be the first former Seahawk to play a professional game at Richmond County Bank Ballpark, the home of the Wagner baseball program, when the Vermont Lake Monsters conclude the season against the Staten Island Yankees on Sunday, September 6 at 4:00 pm.

In 13 games on the year, Morrison, who was a 32nd round pick of the Nationals, is 2-4 with 40 strikeouts, against 20 walks, and a 3.47 ERA over 49.1 innings with the Lake Monsters.

As a junior at Wagner in 2009 Morrison was a perfect 4-0 with a 2.16 ERA in four games at Richmond County Bank Ballpark and holds a career 8-1 record in nine starts with 2.38 ERA over 58 innings at the stadium.
