Bluefield, WV - It took former Wagner closer
Andrew Huebner (Hatfield, PA / North Penn) just one game to earn his first promotion. Huebner picked up the save for the Gulf Coast League (GCL) Orioles with a scoreless ninth inning against the GCL Reds on July 13. He moves from the Orioles' GCL team to the Bluefield Orioles of the Appalachian League.
The "Appy" league features 10 teams with each squad playing 68 games. Bluefield is currently in third place at 13-11 and just three games out of first place in the East Division.
Bluefield opens up a seven-game homestand tonight against Johnson City.
Huebner, who signed earlier this month by the Baltimore Orioles, is one of four former Seahawks in the professional ranks.
