Tucson, AZ - On the heels of the Wagner baseball program's first Northeast Conference (NEC) Regular Season title, the Seahawks received votes in
Collegiate Baseball's Fabulous 40 Pre-Season poll.
The Green & White, which returns 23 letterwinners, including eight starting position players and five starting pitchers, join Boston College, Dartmouth Rhode Island, St. John's and West Virginia as the only Northeast schools to garner recognition.
"To get our name mentioned with the nations top programs is a great honor," said reigning NEC Coach of the Year
Joe Litterio. "It shows the direction our program is headed."
Over the last four years, the Seahawks have had six playeres sign contracts with Major League organizations.
Wagner kicks off the year with a three-game series at Winthrop on Friday, February 26 at 1:00 pm.
