Honolulu, HI – The Wagner College women's soccer team won its regular season opener 1-0 over Pacific University, with an early goal from Jessica Panarella (Staten Island, NY) to earn a first round victory in the OHANA Hotels and Resort Soccer Shootout in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Women's Soccer Picked 11th In NEC Preseason Poll

Somerset, NJ – The Northeast Conference (NEC) women's soccer coaches have tabbed Monmouth to defend its league championship. The Hawks received seven first-place votes to claim the top spot, while 2009 NEC Tournament runner-up Central Connecticut State placed second and claimed the remaining four first place nods.

Wagner College Ranked #1 In The U.S. News & World Reports Best College Ranking Of "Up-and-Comers" Among Northern Regional Universities

STATEN ISLAND, NY - WNBC-TV News aired a story on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, by reporter Roseanne Colletti about Wagner College's #1 ranking on U.S. News & World Report's annual list of up-and-coming regional universities:

For the second year in a row, Wagner College made the #1 spot in the U.S. News & World Report's Best Colleges ranking of “Up-and-Comers” among Northern Regional Universities.

And, for the seventh year running, Wagner appeared among the Top 25 Northern Regional Universities, overall, on the annual Best Colleges list, which was released today. Wagner finished in a four-way tie for #25.
