Biography

Junior (2022-23): Saw action at #5 and #6 singles position throughout the season. Appeared in three singles matches and five doubles matches. Earned a doubles victory on October 28th against Rider at the #3 position. 

Sophomore (2021-22): Saw action as the #6 singles player for Wagner. Saw action in the #1 doubles pair against Monmouth while earning doubles victories against Fordham as the #3 and NJCU as the #2

Freshman (2020-21): Made his Wagner debut in Northeast Conference (NEC) action against St. Francis Brooklyn (4/16/21). Competed out of the #4 position.  

Before Wagner: Attended Tauranga Boys College in Tauranga, New Zealand where he was a four-year member of the tennis program. Made the First A Team in his freshman season. In the classroom, achieved a merit endorsement in his junior year. Competed at the J5 Newport Invite in the Round of 32. Played club tennis for Tauranga Lawn Tennis Club. Son of Jo and Andrew Darling, he has three siblings, Jacob, Nathan and Thomas. His brother, Jacob, played on the men's tennis team at USC Upstate. Darling plans on majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Wagner.
