This Week In Wagner Athletics; Eight Teams In Action As Softball, Women’s Lacrosse, And Women’s Tennis Host Events On Saturday

Staten Island, NY - Here is a look at the Wagner Athletics events for this week. 
 

Baseball 

- Coming off a five-game home stretch and a sweep against Northeast Conference (NEC) opponent Stonehill, the Seahawks will return with a weekend series at the Le Moyne Dolphins. 

- First pitch is set for Friday, April 4 at 3:00 pm. On Saturday, April 5, first pitch will be at 6:00 pm, and on Sunday, April 6, first pitch is scheduled for noon in Syracuse.

- The Dolphins are currently 7-2 in conference play.
 

Men's Lacrosse

- The Seahawks will travel upstate to Syracuse for a conference matchup with the Le Moyne Dolphins on Saturday, April 5. Opening face-off is scheduled for noon.

- After taking down the LIU Sharks in dramatic fashion on Saturday, senior Ethan Sieb and sophomore Angus Snow were named Northeast Conference (NEC) Prime Performers, announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. 
 

Men's Tennis

- Wagner will be traveling to the Bronx to take on Fordham on Friday, April 4. 

- After their matchup against Fordham, the Seahawks will head to West Long Branch, NJ to face-off against the Monmouth Hawks on Sunday, April 6th. First set is scheduled to start at 2 pm.
 

Softball

- The Seahawks will host St. John's on Wednesday, April 2nd. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Grymes Hill. 

- Wagner will then host NEC opponent Le Moyne on Saturday, April 5 for a doubleheader. First pitches are set for 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

- They will conclude their series on Sunday, April 6 at 12:00 pm. 
 

Track & Field

- In Wagner's second meet of the outdoor season, the Seahawks will head to Williamsburg, VA for the William & Mary's Colonial Relays. 

- The event will begin Friday, April 4 and will conclude on Saturday, April 5. 

- Last time out, the Seahawks earned three NEC weekly honors as senior Kharlin Watkins was named men's Field Athlete of the Week, senior Ruth-Ann Chambers was named women's Track Athlete of the Week and freshman Christine Manneh was named women's Rookie of the Week. 
 

Women's Lacrosse

- Wagner will compete in its final non-conference game of the 2025 season against Ivy League member Columbia on Wednesday, April 2 at 6:00 pm on Robert Kraft Field at Lawrence A. Wien Stadium.

- On Saturday, April 5, the Seahawks will continue NEC play against the Le Moyne Dolphins. Opening draw control is scheduled for noon on Hameline Field. 

- Most recently, senior Sophia Colver and junior Emily Ryan were named NEC Prime Performers for their showings against LIU and FDU last week. 
 

Women's Tennis

- The Seahawks will have Senior Day as they will be hosting Monmouth on Saturday, April 5. 

- First set is scheduled to start at 6:00 pm. 
 

Women's Water Polo

- The Seahawks are back in action this weekend in Villanova, PA for three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches. On Saturday, April 5, the Green & White will face LIU at 11:00 am before competing against Siena at 11:00 am and Mount St. Mary's at 3:00 pm on Sunday April 6.

- With six conference games left, the Seahawks sit in first place with a 6-0 record.

- Last time out, Wagner won three matches in Philadelphia, as Carlota Alonso captured her fourth MAAC Player of the Week award of the season.
