Brooklyn, NY - The Wagner College softball team dropped game three of the LIU series Wednesday, April 24 with a score of 1-5.
The Sharks jumped to an early lead in the bottom of the first scoring three runs before adding another run to the board in the third inning. LIU scored its final run in the bottom of the fifth inning making it a 0-5 game going into the sixth.
In the top of the sixth inning the Seahawks started a late rally led by freshman Sydney Chargualaf who singled up the middle. A pass ball by the Sharks allowed one unearned run to cross home for the Seahawks before the rally was cut short with a final score of 1-5.
Next up, the Seahawks will host SFU Saturday, April 27 for a doubleheader starting at 12:00 PM.
