Staten Island, NY – In a game pushed back one day due to the snowstorm that has hit the New York City metropolitan area, the Wagner women's lacrosse team is set to host the Stetson University Hatters in an 11:00 a.m. start on Thursday, March 8 at Hameline Field.
After dropping their first two contests of the 2018 season, the Seahawks have won two straight in evening their record at 2-2, most recently an
impressive 15-11 victory over Patriot League member Lehigh on March 3.
Stetson will bring a mark of 0-4 into Thursday's play with the Hatters' most recent game coming on March 4 when they dropped a home contest to Holy Cross by a count of 14-8.

Lucy Darlington and freshman midfielder
Ally Alliegro were named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive and Rookie of the Week winners, respectively.
Darlington, a native of Timonium, MD, was sharp in goal throughout, coming up with a season-14 saves vs. the Mountain Hawks, including several point-blank shots. With Wagner leading 8-7 at halftime, Darlington was particularly effect in the second half as she allowed just four goals over the game's final 30 minutes.
While Darlington was shining on the defensive end, Alliegro was busy bolstering the Seahawk offense, as she poured in a career-high five goals, highlighted by a 3-of-4 conversion rate on free position shots. By halftime of Saturday's home tilt, Alliegro already had already produced a hat trick as her third goal, with 5:11 left before the intermission, tied the game at 6-6 and helped Wagner gain that 8-7 lead at the break.
Goal number four came with 15:27 to play, giving the Seahawks a two-goal cushion, at 11-9, before she capped the day's scoring with 5;20 remaining. In addition to her five-goal outburst, t the Bayport, NY, added one draw control and one caused turnover.

Lauren Ednie, who delivered a four-goal game vs. Lehigh, is third in scoring with 10 points.
Through four games, Alliegrio leads Wagner in draw controls with 16. Freshman midfielder
Erin Kerstetter and junior defender
Maddie Courtney lead in ground balls with 10 apiece, while Courtney, and fellow junior defender
Maggie Jent, have a team-best six caused turnovers each.
Thursday's tilt with Stetson concludes a four-game home stretch for the Green & White who take the road next to meet UMass Lowell on Sunday, March 11 in a 1:00 p.m. start.
