Covington, VA - Rising junior Joe Conforti was named the Valley League's All-Star Game MVP for the North. The speedy outfielder broke a 3-3 tie in the seventh inning with a two-run home run in his only at-bat of the game. The game would end in a 5-5 tie as the South scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Somerset, NJ - The Northeast Conference announced its Spring Academic Honor Roll, for the 2007-2008 academic year with Wagner College making up 66 of the 662 student-athletes on the list. All members of the honor roll must have maintained a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 and participated with distinction as a member of a varsity team.

Staten Island, NY - Sophomore Vinny Avella has been named the Wagner Baseball 2008 Team MVP as announced by head coach Joe Litterio. The baseball MVP award is sponsored by the Brotherhood of the Delta Nu Fraternity. It is named in honor of Lt. Robert Gall, a captain of the Wagner baseball team who was killed in action in Vietnam.

The Green & White will now play a 1 pm doubleheader tomorrow with both games slated for seven innings. On Saturday, the teams will play a single nine-inning game at 3 pm before concluding action with a nine-inning contest at noon on Sunday.
