Staten Island, NY – Wagner athletics caught up with head football coach Walt Hameline on the sideline prior to the first practice of his 32^nd preseason camp which began with a 2:55 pm session at wind-swept Wagner College Stadium.
 
In the accompanying video, Hameline discusses the mood and optimism surrounding the opening of preseason camp. He is then asked to offer his thoughts on the September 15 home opener vs. Monmouth. In a pre-game ceremony that day, the field at Wagner College Stadium will be named “Hameline Field.”

In addition,  the 1987 Division III National Championship Team, which marked Hameline's seventh season at the helm, will be honored at halftime on the 25^th anniversary of their crowning achievement.
