Staten Island, NY – Wagner's winning ways, topped by Saturday's eye-opening 30-0 victory at Albany, are being noticed by many influential people involved in college football, including conference and collegiate officials who comprise The Sports Network Top-25 Poll as well as the coaches who vote in the NCAA Football FCS Coaches Poll.

The Seahawks, who have overcome challenges that include an 0-3 start, and a campus without electricity or hot water leading up to the Albany game, are ranked 34th in The Sports Network Top-25 Poll with 47 votes and 39th in the FCS Coaches Poll with three votes.

Continuing what was already an unprecedented Northeast Conference(NEC) win streak for the program, the convincing win at Albany was the Seahawks' sixth straight victory, all of which have come in league play. Prior to the 2012 campaign, Wagner had never won more than four NEC contests in a row. The surging Seahawks are 6-3 overall, 6-1 in the NEC heading into  this Saturday's 1:00 pm home contest vs. Patriot League member Holy Cross.

With its 6-1 NEC record, Wagner can clinch the NEC's automatic bid to the NCAA FCS playoffs with a victory over Duquesne on November 17 in the 2012 regular season finale.

The Green & White could also secure the bid without a victory should Albany (5-1) lose one of its final two conference contests.  The Great Danes visit Duquesne (Nov. 10) before closing at home against Central Connecticut (Nov. 17),
