Staten Island, NY –
Sophomore running back Dominique Williams (Bridgeton, NJ/ Milford Academy) has received honors from several national organizations in the wake of his monstrous 26-carry, 180-yard, two-touchdown effort in Saturday's victory over Saint Francis (PA ).

Williams was named a College Sporting News National All-Star, is The Sports Network/Fathead.com Co-Offensive Player of the Week and ColllegeFootballPerformance.com's National Running Back of the Week. In addition, CollegeSportsMadness.com named him its NEC Player of the Week.

Wiliams' 180-yard output was the top rushing game among all FCS backs in the nation last week.  In addition to averaging 6.9 yards per carry, he caught one pass for 13 yards.

The Sports Network/Fathead.com, regarded as a leading authority on FCS Football, comes out with its The Sports Network/Fathead.com Top-25 Poll each week during the season. ColllegeFootballPerformance.com provides the most scientifically rigorous conferments in college football as recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams.  Meanwhile, each week, College Sports Madness identifies the highest impact player nationally and one from each FCS conference.

With just 39 seconds remaining in the first half vs. Saint Francis (PA), Williams, who missed all of last season with a knee injury, capped a seven-play, 77-yard Seahawk drive with five-yard touchdown run to give the Seahawks a 17-7 halftime lead. Williams set up his own score by gashing the Red Flash defense for runs of 20 and 19 yards earlier in the drive. After Saint Francis (PA) clawed to within 31-28 late in the fourth quarter, Williams put an exclamation point on his day and sealed the win with a nifty 28-yard scamper into the end zone to fashion the final score at 38-28.

By halftime Williams, had already reached the century mark as he had 104 yards rushing in the first half. This marked the fifth 100-yard game of his career, as he produced four 100-yard games as a true freshman in 2009. Williams' previous career high was 131 yards at North Dakota St. on Sept. 19, 2009.

The Green & White are next in action on Saturday, Sept. 10 when the Seahawks travel to the Universiity of Richmond to meet the Spiders in a 6:00 pm kickoff. Richmond knockedd of FBS member Duke 23-21 on Saturday and is ranked ninth in The Sports Network/Fathead,com Top-25 Poll.
