Sarasota FL -
After emerging as the top closer in school history, senior Andrew Huebner (Hatfield, PA / North Penn) will take his talents to professional baseball after signing a free agent contract with the Baltimore Orioles. Huebner, who will be assigned to the organization's Gulf Coast League affiliate in Sarasota, becomes the sixth former Wagner student-athlete in the last four years to sign a professional contract with a Major League organization.

Huebner ranked 13th nationally with a school-record 13 saves (out of 14) while posting a 3.16 ERA with 29 strikeouts over 31.1 innings while helping the Seahawks to their first Northeast Conference (NEC)
Regular Season Championship and a school-record 31 wins. The hard-throwing right-hander also appeared in a school-record matching 26 games and went a perfect 10-for-10 in save situations during NEC play, capped off by a three-save performance in the season's final weekend that earned him NEC Akadema Pitcher of the Week honors.

For his career, Huebner recorded a school-record 25 saves, including a then single-season record of 11 in 2008 before shattering that with his 13 stops this past year. He was also part of 93 wins, 60 NEC wins and three NEC Tournaments.

Huebner joins former teammates and pitchers Andrew Bailey, Kyle Morrison and Joe Testa in the professional ranks. Bailey is currently the closer for the Oakland Athletics, Morrison is with the Short-Season A Vermont Lake Monsters (Washington Nationals) while Testa was recently promoted to the High-A Fort Myers Miracle (Minnesota Twins).

The Keystone State native also becomes the second former Seahawk in the last three years to sign with Baltimore as former teammate Joey DiGeronimo also played in the Orioles' organization in 2007.
