Staten Island, NY - Wagner College head football coach Walt Hameline has announced that 24 student-athletes have elected to continue their education while pursuing a football career with the Seahawks. Nine members of the 2010 recruiting class are already enrolled at Wagner and will take part in spring practice headlined by local products Torian Phillips and Ken Munson, each of whom hail from Staten Island.

Staten Island, NY – The Wagner College athletics department formally dedicated the modern, fully-functional 3,076 square foot Dr. Gregory P. Knapp '66 H'00 Strength Room in the Spiro Sports Center on Friday. Following the dedication, an Open House for students, faculty and staff, complete with tours of the facility, took place throughout the afternoon.

Somerset, NJ – Freshman QB #Nick Doscher# (Staten Island, NY/ Moore Catholic) was named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Offensive Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-NEC, while junior punter #Kyle Muir# (Spencerport, NY/Hudson CC) and junior return specialist #Frantz Placide# (Miami, FL/Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) were named NEC First-Team All-Conference in the Special Teams department.

Somerset, NJ – Junior DB #Frantz Placide3 (Miami, FL/ Archbishop Curley Notre Dame) was named the Northeast Conference (NEC) Special Teams Player of the Week for the fourth time this season for his efforts vs. Albany last week.

Staten Island, NY - Junior DB Frantz Placide returned a kickoff 89 yards for a TD and blocked two punts, freshman QB Nick Doscher accounted for 234 yards of total offense and freshman RB Dominique Williams ran for 101 yards but it was not enough as Wagner dropped a 41-28 decision to Albany in the season finale for both teams.
